Default rear window streaks

ok, so every time I wash my tahoe by hand, then dry it... consuming 2 hours of my life. park it, garage over night... drive to work.. i get huge water runs down the back window.

it appears to pool in the 3rd brake light assembly that's 'sealed' to the back window glass... but not really well sealed... has anyone made a small hole in this to let water out?

does it drive anyone else nuts like me? on a black truck that's 100% spotless you get these runs down the back...

I think what you are seeing is the water trapped between the spoiler/overhang and the glass. What I've had moderate success w/ is after done drying the rest is to use the edge of the towel to wick the water left there. Same thing w/ the trim under the door windows, around the headlites, grill, and under the tail lites.

Default yea

i always hand dry w/a shammy, but i get it spotless, then drive next day, the water trapped between back glass + spoiler drains out, ruining the spotlessness

I was thinking if i pulled it off, then made a small hole or two where water would drain out, then it would drain out as I was drying it vs next day when it's forced out by 60 mph winds on the highway...

They put that rubber seal around it, between it + glass, but c'mon... thats not gonna hold... lol

Have you tried wicking the water out w/ a towel? Works for me on all of the little places that they designed in to retain water.

I use the leaf blower to liberate any water from the roof rack and the rear window spoiler 90+% success rate
