Hello. I have a 2005 Z71 Tahoe and I have to replace the remote entry battery about every 2 weeks. I thought that by keeping it in my pocket, it might be pressing against the keys and wearing down my battery, so I've tried leaving the remote hanging out of my pocket so that it's not touching anything, but it still goes dead in 2 weeks.
Any and all help would be much appreciated.

 

It sounds as though something is causing one of the buttons to remain closed consuming all the battery power in a short time.

I would take the transmitter apart and inspect it and also clean the contacts; unless your Tahoe is still under factory warranty then this would be covered.
