Hey guys i just bought a 07 tahoe LT1 and i was thinking about putting the OEM remote start. Now it says it is prewired for this does anyone have any info?

 

Your will need to purchase GM part # 17801237 which includes two remotes, instructions and also a special code that needs to be called in to GM Tech Link (along with your VIN) and exchanged for the proper VCI code that unlocks the remote start feature within your trucks BCM (Body Control Module).

A GM dealer or a very good service center with access to Tech II will have to do the install due to some technical system setting changes that must be accomplished; it will take a competent shop about an hour to complete the procedure.
