Default Replacement engine for Suburban

I have a 2008 Suburban with just over 270,000 miles on it. It has been maintained well but has had a small list of problems. From the excessive oil consumption due to the AFM along with a oil pump failure, timing gears and chain replacement, cam and crank sensor replacements, and now another hydraulic lifter failure. My feelings are that I should just remove and replace the engine due to the high mileage.

With the above said, I am currently considering buying an engine from Fraser engines here in Michigan. If there is anyone who is reading this post that can provide some other recommendations I would appreciate your input. Cost for just a long block have run from $3,400 to $4,000 with shipping included that I have run across. Also curious if an iron block would create any install issues should I decide to go with one.

Check out the company "Duraburb" on youtube. They swap in Duramax engines into 2007+ Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL vehicles. I'm not affiliated with them at all, but if I could ever afford to send my Tahoe to them I would.
