Default Replacing Power Steering Cooler

2003 Suburban LT, need to replace power steering cooler. Is it ok to spray paint the new one with either rust preventative paint or rustoleum paint to keep it from getting all rusted and corroded.

Thanks,
Chris...

Thanks for the quick reply. I was just curios if paining it with a rust preventative paint would help.

if it's steel then of course. Aluminum, not really.
Too much paint might affect the cooling performance though.

Its steel so I'll just give it a quick coat of Rustoleum...
