Question Reprograming factory stereo?

I have a 2002 burb. The back of the stereo has left and right RCA inputs but they don't seem to function. The owners manual says this feature may be disabled on some models, is it possible to enable or reprogram the stereo head to fix this? I'm trying to get the best connection I can for my satalite radio without going through the tape deck. Thanks in advance for any and all input.

Unless you have an aftermarket deck, there are no inputs on the back of the radio.

Of course, you are right. I think I was thinking of my other car on that first post. So what are my oprions, if any, other than an aftermarket head unit, to playing my sat radio thru my current stereo?

Other then the cassette option there aren't any that I know of.
Thou since you have an 02 the factory radio may have the option for XM
and you may be able to add the XM module to the factory radio.
(this assumes you have XM)
