I am just going to lower it with a Eibach kit. I don't want it to be too low since I will have a ****ty ride. That's the one thing I am trying to avoid at all cost.

I spoke with a guy on cardomain yesterday that had a lowered 07 tahoe with 24's. I think it was a 2/3 or 3/4 drop. He said he is having major issues with the rear wheels rubbing. He said if he has any passengers in the vehicle it is horrible. He is going to try to have someone cut the fender out to make it to where it doesnt rub constantly.

This doesnt affect me, I dont plan to lower it. HOwever, it may be something to think about if you are going to lower it.

FUnny, you are considering the same wheels I am. THe first one is the old Giovanna Abruzza, now made by their sister company DBL G wheels. I like it, that was actually the wheel I was referencing above about the rubbing!

The second on is the TIS 04, I am not sure about it. I have looked at it, however just not certain it is what I want. My two favorites are the Abruzza and the Boss 313. I found the 313 for 1012 shipped! However, I want someone else to try the +40 offset before I buy them! Anyone???

 

Yah I have heard of the problem with rubbing. He probably needs the correct offset if he is going to lower and run 24s. I think the proper one is 295/35/24. He might of ran 305/35/24 or 285/40/24. But I heard the Eibachs are having a problem with the lower, if you have autoride. I am going to look into it a bit more. I want to make sure everything is working okay before I lower it. If not.....then I won't even bother.

 

He has the abruzza wheel, the offset is available in +30 which is exactly what we need! You are talking about tire size vs. offset!

The closest to factory tire setting is 295/35/24. That is what I will be going with if I ever purchase some wheels.
