Rolls Backwards
Hey Guys,
Love our new 07 LTZ that's just over a week old now, but it gave me a start the other day. I was waiting in line at a light on a moderate slope, and when the light turned green, and I took my foot off the brake to get on the gas, the Tahoe started to roll backwards. I've never had a vehicle with auto trans that wouldn't hold position on a slope or hill. Has anyone else had this? I need to stop by the dealer to get it looked at, but do you think this is likely to be an electronics issue, or mechanical? Now I just need to get the stain out of the seat...
Thanks

Yeah, I have that problem too. But I think the Tahoe isn't designed to do that. My Honda that I had before would do it. Even on a super steep slope. It felt like you were in space with my feet off the pedals.
The cause of this is the weight of the vehicle and also the low pump pressure programmed in for soft 1-2 shifts, if you turn on the Tow/Haul mode on when starting from an incline it will lessen the roll-back.
