Out of the 3 I have done on 3 different Chevrolet vehicles, this has also been my experience. At lease 2 are still in service for the past 5 years, mine was totaled so I don't know if its still in service

 

If what Mike says is accurate, then it would seem that MDTAHOE would seem some OEM pump failures too. Of course maybe he only installs pumps for customers that never let their tanks get too low.

 

Okay to everyone who has posted. It was the fuel pump that went bad. Not 100% positive, but pretty sure it was the original. I can't complain about getting 150k miles out of it. I use to be a Chevrolet mechanic before I joined the service so I know of the things not to do. I got a good quality fuel pump installed plus I had them change out the filter along with it. Even thou I replace the filter 10K miles ago. Things are all good now and I appreciate every ones input on my question. Thanks again guys and I know where to turn to if I have anymore problems/questions.
