Default Rusted Brake Lines

I just replaced a 10 ft brake line in my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was very rusted out but had not yet ruptured. I took a look at my brake lines througth the front wheel wells on my 2005 Suburban and was surprised to see how rusty they were. This is very disappointimg since I can't see these lasting more then a year or two.

These is some chatter on the web about failure on 1999-2003 but I can vouch for the fact that my 2005 brake lines are rusting quickly. Anyone else have problems?
