Security Shade or cargo shade for 07 Tahoe
Well, this maybe a few days late and a few dollars short, but I did not mean for anyone to get the wrong shade.
Sorry about that rich2007Z71.
I have a power lift gate (hatch), I guess it is the same thing, but normally I call it a hatch, like hatchback, rear hatch.
Anyways, the covershade we got fits nicely into the groves where the main part of the shade attaches too and we just manually
pull the handle and the shade unravels, then we put the other end into the knotched grooves in the molding. Done.
Now if you guys are talking about a cover shade that attaches to the rear liftgate (rear hatch), then this cover shade rolls out when the gate is in the up position and then rolls back in some what, when the liftgate closes. So your rear part of the vehicle is always covered.
That I have not seen.
I have third row seats, I pulled out and the cover shade we had gotten works for us.

No problem - I ended getting one from the dealer. Kind of disappointed in it - flimsy material and when extended, shows some creased lines near the part where is rolls back into. Also, doesn't always stay in the slots toward the hatch. Guess I was expecting a good one like I had in my '97. Oh well - live and learn.
Happy Holidays to all!

I am trying to find a security shade for my 07 Tahoe. Wife has been bugging me about it, her truck anyways, anybody have any ideals? ZX?
On another note. I have been reading about all the intake up grades for the last two weeks before I decided to join the forum and I recently installed a true flow XDI (extreme duty intake) by True Flow, someone asked about that earlier in the forums if anyone knew info. Don't ask me if it improves gas mileage, but it sure does improve the "Cool Factor". Also, installed a Autoextreme throttlebody spacer, they do not have a website that I can find, but they are on ebay selling their spacers. I am doing all this for my own "trying it out project".
Whether it increases mileage or not, I won't knowuntilI take a few long trips and spend time driving around town. The reason I purchased these items were to help with throttle response and to move this heavy *** truck.[sm=insomnia.gif]
The XDI system sounds quiet when you are driving normally, but when you put the pedal to the medal, it sounds like a flowmaster system in your
engine compartment. Freaks the other cars out. Next, I will be in search of a performance exhaust. More air in means more air out. I will post a pic later. True Flow convinced me about their foam filters instead of gauge filters. It took alot of thinking and deciding. I have used K & N for years.
I own another truck and I also did some research on other intake systems and bought a modular intake tube for my 2003 silverado from Airaid and a True Flow filter for that. Total cost, $150.00.
I read that most factory airboxes do just as well as the after market airboxes and provide and are designed to have high flow rates. The OEM boxes provide heat and debris shielding like the after market kits. Instead of paying $300.00 to 500.00 retail for after market cold air intake systems with a new air box for your trucks, you can just get the tube and a better filter.
As far as the Tahoe, well, I think the "Cool Factor" played a goodpart, especially when you are showing it off to your friends and neighbors.

I didn't think of looking for a suburban one. I will do that next.
I didn't get to go into the parts dept to ask them. I got there at 11:45, MeyerChevy's parts and service dept closed at 12:00 for lunch, so I waited. After I waitedthe hour, I got pissed off because the service department refused to check out the Nav that wasn't working. (I had bought the truck brand newthe night before). They told me come back and make an appointment. The salesmen turned into an #$#hole the minute I walked out the door with the truck, so he didn't care either. Its a shame I never gave them the lein release for the trade in yet, and oh gee, what am I going to report when the survey comes to the house?

Now, I was reading the thread and ran across this little tidbit. I just got my Z-71 HOE two weeks ago. The service up to delivery was fantastic. They actually delivered the truck to my buddies house while I was there and I never had to step foot in or deal with the actual dealership. Once the delivery dude left, I noticed the front emblem was cracked and side Z-71 badges were scratched up. I notified my contact at GM about this on the 18th of Feb and I am yet to recieve replacements. They claim the emblems are ordered and it will take some time. Meanwhile, because my brand new tahoe is jacked-up in the front...oh, the clear cover and gold "foil" has completely fallen off the emblem now......I called a local dealership and had a new emblem the next day. Pablo is right. Once these dealers are done with you and they have your money, they couldn't care less about you. Until it's time for you to spend another 50K. And what happens today? I get the email with the feedback questionnaire...this is going to be fun!!!

I have one that has never been used. Black/ebony. If anyone interested in making an offer. I am ready to get it out of garage. No longer own the Suburban... I looked online and came up with what I think the part number is at:
15213374 - GM Cargo Security Shade
I live in Jacksonville, FL. I can ship it if you are not local. We can go thru paypal. This is not a scam and really would like to give it to someone that doesn't want to pay the list cost offered online thru dealer/parts store.
Thank you
