The Security System Light (Little car with a padlock) stays on on my daughter's 2005 Tahoe. It was on when she bought the car. The car starts and runs ok other than that. I have replaced and re-programmed the keyless entry remote for her, but that had no effect.
I am wondering about the key. It is a plain metal key, no transponder. Did that year Tahoe use a key with a chip?
Any help to fix this would be appreciated.
