Default service tire pressure monitor message on the DIC

This is a new to me 04 burb and it has after market tires on the factory wheels. The message in the DIC is telling me to service the tire pressure monitor (or something along those lines). Does anyone have experience with this message and where / how to service that area? My tires are good and inflated but that message is annoying. I am one of those that likes everything as it should be.

any advice is greatly appreciated.

Honestly, if your tires are inflated, the best thing to do is ignore the message.
One of my monitors is busted & will cost $$$ to repair too.
A piece of tape will solve your problem lol

Have the same situation on a 2010 WT. The message comes and goes for me. Am trying to ignore it for as long as I can.

is the tpm light on solid or flashing?
solid means the tire pressure is low. flashing is a fault with the system. try to register the sensors. any sensors that will not register, replace them. You can buy your own tmp tool fairly cheap. this one does gm

sileradofan
the tire pressures should be set at 2 psi higher than the placard. if they are set to the placard...when it gets cold out, the psi will drop enough to set a warning. When they warm up the light goes off.

If they are the original TPMS units, then most likely cause is dead batteries as they only last about ten years. Cheapest place I found to get them was on ebay.
