Setting remote unlock to open all doors?

Setting remote unlock to open all doors?
One of my pet peeves is having to hit the unlock button twice. Some of my other vehicles allowed me to configure this behavior in the vehicle's perferences menus but I don't see anything like this on my 07... Can this be done? Could a dealership do it?

RE: Setting remote unlock to open all doors?
No it cannot be done.
The two push requirement was implemented as a safety feature to prevent an unwanted person from entering your vehicle through one of the other doors.
In theory this feature is meant to come into play for instance when a person is entering their vehicle late at night in a poorly lit parking lot or structure, by only allowing the driver door to unlock on the first push of the button it provides an extra margin of safety.
If the system is reprogrammed to not allow this failsafe it could prove to be a bad thing the one time that you (or someone else) may need it.
I mean seriously come on, how tough is it to give that tiny little button an extra push?
I’ll bet you push the button more then once when you lock your vehicle even though it requires just one push.

It's just a preference. I didn't say it was tough, and I understand the thinking behind it, even if it strikes me as a rather specious "risk". And I suppose since you asked, the answer is no, I don't hit the button twice to lock it.
Thanks for the info.
