I also wonder as well...not very good reliability in my opinion. I wouldn't mind paying more for the same part if I knew it would last the life of the vehicle.

Hello there! Sorry for reviving this old thread, I hope someone will see this comment and find it helpful. I was also having a airbag light on my GMC, tried to fix it by myself and it was just a waste of time. Then I tried researching for common causes and how to troubleshoot airbag problems and I came across the YOUCANIC website where they have an article GMC Airbag Light On. After reading, I was able to find out that the connector on my weight sensor was damaged due to adjusting the seat frequently. Then after that I drove my GMC for a few minutes and the airbag light turns off. I really recommend checking the YOUCANIC website for airbag light diagnostics.

Hello, I have the same model and year. I connected a scanner to read the codes, but it would not communicate with the car. After watching the Youtube video ScannerDanner, I was instructed to check fuses under the hood. The Airbag ING and the Airbag ING Batt one is a 10A and the other is a 15A. The bad one for me was the Airbag ING Batt 15A. The fuse was corroded in the fuse housing and crumbled when I removed it. I had to clean the fuse housing and pop a new 15A fuse in the housing. I turned the Tahoe on and the Airbag light flashed and went out. Also on your Tahoe there are two sensors in the front underneath the radiator, if you can communicate with the EMC, you will get an error code, that code will tell you which sensor is busted. Replace that sensor, you should we all good.
