Default Should I upgrade anything in a 4L60E trans?

Having to replace the rear seal on a 2000 Suburban. While its out is there anything that causes problems on these that I should swap out? Anything I should/could upgrade? This isn't a daily driver, we only use the guzzler when we haul the kids or haul things. Thanks

They make a hardened sun gear that is supposed to last longer than the old. I have had 2 older suburbans, 97 and 98, and both of them went out within 2 months of each other. Put the upgraded one in and will let you know in about 200K miles how it worked.

I held off answering bc this site is not really as performance oriented as some others but I had mine trans rebuilt at 140K and had all new servos, clutches and Beast sunshell put in mine and had some tuning done that changes shift points as well as the amount of timing that gets pulled by the Eco during shifts. I have 220K on it now and it's still running strong. I tow a 4500lb boat trailer combo all summer long with it. Mine is basically a 4L65E with those upgrades.
