Hey all,
Wife and I picked up this 96 suburban (7.4) late last year and drove it from Boise back home to Nashville Tn. It just rolled over 160k yesterday while towing our rover to the trail head. This was the first time I was able to tow since we got it home and I must say it didn't disappoint. I set the cruise on 70 and it never felt like it was hunting for gears and was very stable. I was pulling right around 8-9k with trailer/pig of a RRC. This vehicle needs some work like a new AC compressor, front ball joints and rear brakes. Other than that it seems to pull down 10mpg no matter how I drive it.
I really hope to have this ride for a long time to come.
