2007 Tahoe LTZ I replace the side mirrors I programmed them and the seats to driver 1&2 but they don’t return to correct position

 

Are they still intact, meaning is the gear within them broken ? That is common.

The only other times I see the mirrors not returning to correct position is when people take them apart to replace them with our strengthened brass gears and they get the collet oriented wrong in the base.
