Sliding Shifter??
I have a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban with 126K miles on it. Vehicle runs exceptionally well and other than standard maintenance, little to no issues. Recently I remote started the car on a colder day, got into it and depressed the brake, turned the key and it would not fully start. Turns out, the steering column shifter does not catch anything on the way down or up, it just "glides" without catching any gears. On the dash indicators of P - R - N - D - 2, the #2 light is lit up. My guess is that it is just a light and can not be in that gear since the last position it was in was Park. Anyone have any idea what the issue may be?
