Sloshing Water sound from Dash and Disappearing Coolant
Hi all,
In my newly acquired '94 Burb I am hearing sloshing and gurgling water sounds from the passenger side dash area.
I am also having to add coolant regularly.
I have no idea if the two are related. I have not been smelling coolant nor have I found any water on the floor. The sloshing seems to go away when I top of the coolant reservoir.
Any thoughts / ideas ?
Thanks,
Dan

Check your oil to see if the water is going there. The oil will look milky white if it has water in it. Also look all around the engine and the ground below the truck for signs of coolant. If you can't find the problem, it might be a bad head gasket which is letting water into the cylinder.

That sloshing could be a stopped up drain for your A/C Condenser...
Check under your ride for a open ended rubber tube which just sticks out and down in the general vicinity of the Firewall. You can gently blow some compressed air up into it, and watch for a dump of water out of it. Probably a piece of insulation or crud like your house A/C gets in the drain pan has stopped it up.
Other sloshing possibilities are captured water in the bottom of the passengers door. Just look under the bottom edge of the door, and find the drains for it. Run a wire up and back and forth to clear any debris where it can drain. (several slots outside the door seal)
On the Coolant problem...
I'd drop by a Radiator Shop, and have them "Sniff" the air in the headroom of your Radiator with their Tester. They can tell if you have gas fumes present, which indicate a cylinder head leak into the Coolant.
