A lot of guys have tried the HID upgrade to their fog lights only to be disappointed that the cheap plastic factory fog light lenses would melt from the heat of the HID bulb. I found a solution....there is a guy on eBay that sells higher grade glass and steel replacement fog lights for the 2007 2008 Tahoe. All you have to do is take the glass fog light and instead of buying a 880/881 HID kit you buy a H3 bulb kit that should simply fit into the new fog lights. These even have a metal reflector in the housing that disperses the light to project more like a fog and 9 ft. for each light! Glass is better than platic since it won't yellow. They are only $47 so I will give it a try and post my results.

Hey there. Any update on the new fog lights? I might be interested in changing mine out as well. The stock lights are super weak, especially when compared to the HIDs!
