Default some transmission advice?

im hoping that someone might be able to pinpoint what's wrong with my transmission... when driving, it really hesitates to down shift, and it feels like it's stuck in higher gear, because it accelerates really slow from a stop. fluid levels are fine and it's not the torque converter. any ideas?

Well I can't be much help without knowing what vehicle it is...

Do you have the option to manually put it in 1st on your gear selector? try that see if it's different.

do you have any check engine lights or anything?

Need more info to be much more help...

it's a 93' gmc suburban. ya, i've tried putting it in the lower gears, it doesnt help any. in order to make it above 50 mph i have to press on the gas pretty far, and when you start to slow down it tries to down shift, but isnt able to. maybe a shift sensor or one of the channels in transmission isnt getting any fluid? idk

and the service engine light comes on for a little while and then goes off, but it's been doing that for quite a while now without any problems.
