Default Sound System

I have a 2019 Suburban LS non bose, has anyone changed the factory speakers? Went to a shop and the guy was telling my to get a mid range type of speaker because the radio isn't strong enough for a higher speaker, then said I need some adapter that's not even out yet but could cost over 600 bucks to even be able to amp the new speakers...I kinda just walked out overwhelmed. Anyone?

Why do you want to change the speakers on a new truck while keeping the same radio?

Well I don't like the sound of the speakers but the radio is this infotainment system with an 8 inch screen that moves up and down, may mess other stuff up.
