Default sparks plugs and wires

hello, im thinking of doing plugs, wires, and coils. i will pull one plug out today and inspect.
what brand and type plug do you guys recommend, same thing goes for the wires and coils?
thanks
PS. at what temperature should the thermostat open? on my I.C. it is always dead center at 210F degrees. however when I went to autozone website the thermostat for this engine 5.3l it says they open at 187F. degree. so is my truck running hot?

I would look in the owners manual and use the factory recommendations, if you have the manual. If you don't have the manual, the internet is a good source of information. I have always had good luck with AC/Delco parts.

210 on the dash is normal. Sensor is measuring temperature in the head not the block.
Thermostat starts to open when it approaches 195, they open slowly and not just snap wide open.
Never trust a parts store website, like AZ or AA for ANY technical information.
Use AC plugs in a chevy for no issues. No need to change coils if they are working, just plugs and wires. I use Rock Auto online for factory parts and a selection of parts.

Recently had a tune-up done on my 2003 with 95k miles on it. The shop I used only uses Delco parts, claiming they’ve had issues using other brands.
