Default Speedo Calibration

I have a 2002 Suburban LT, it has 16" wheels, I'm considering putting larger wheels on it. Will I need to have the speedometer re-calibrated and perhaps more importantly, can it be re-calibrated?
Keep Rockin' you lovely people.

Yes it can be, but if your going to or not is your choice. Many hand-held tuners can re-calibrate it, I know BlackBear will, and if you take it to some shops or a dealership they can. In my experience you only really notice it on the highway and it seems to be just a few miles per hour. I think as far as the law goes your supposed to so you know exactly what speed your going but havent heard of anyone getting introuble about it.

If you keep the OD the same, you won't need to recalibrate.
