Default Started roof rack project

I finally got off my butt and started the roof rack..
Came off really easy. The disassemble was super easy too. I'm having no luck with supplies though. Barely had enough paint and clear...

More pics when it's ready to install

Subtle change I know but I hate black plastic. It all has to go eventually

The roof rack mod looks awesome. Looks like you have to do the XM Antenna next

Sorry to go off topic what are your LED tails? Are those Caddy's or IPCWs?

I modified the Escalade lights. The LEDs are nicely thought out on the Esky. The single row tail lightgives it a slim line, high end lookand as you move around the vehicle it is reflected off of the angled outer lens. (from 45 deg it relects and then again from 90degto the side) It also has two rows for brakes or turns.

Better pics in late day sun...

I bought most of the supplies on line. I have used paintscratch.com but this stuff was from paintworldinc.com I got OEM base and clear coat in a spray canfrom them.

I used a scuff pad, soap and hot water to wash and scuff in one step then...
2 coats bullydog adhesive promoter, 2 coats regular primer, 3 coats base and 3 coats clear. I did not sand the part to remove the grain (because of the location of the part)

Removal and disassembly (labelingof pieces)-30 minutes.
Cleaning and taping off -30 mins
Paint was about 10 mins per coat+ proper wait time in between. Last 2 coats of clear the next day.
