If I’m looking online for a decent aftermarket stereo (CD/Radio) to replace this old, scratched up/CD, eating unit I currently have in my 03 Tahoe.



What are some good replacement systems I should be looking at? I currently have the Bose system (I’m not sure if that matters). It would mostly be for playing audio CD’s and listening to NPR. Price matters and I don’t need to replace the speakers. I'd just like to replace the in dash system on the semi-cheap.

Check w/ Crutchfield.

 

I have to second that... Crutchfield allows you to select your vehicle and then shows you what will fit for your vehicle and what other options are available...
That and they fix you up with everything you will need

 

Yeah Crutchfield is great. The radio opening for your vehicle is referred to as a "Double DIN" size opening. Crutchfield has radios for that size, as well as adapters to fit less expensive options. Good luck!
