Default Stickies

Its awesome that we have some popular threads at the main page for everyone, but the list seems to be getting longer and longer. Is it possible toclean some of the older threads that haven't been replied too in over a year. When using the forum from PDA's and cell's we sure could use a few more threads on one page.Just a thought..............

Euro LS mentioned one of the changes was increasing the thread/page count but haven't heard any more about it.

At least it is only on the first page. I use another forum and the stickies re-appear on each page.

Just because a thread hasn't been replied to doesn't mean it isn't in use. They are stickies because the info is relevant andneeds to be available as a reference.

That being said I do see your point and understand. It seems as though the thread list on the first page is very short.

The Tahoe section will soon be combined with theSuburban section and thensplit three ways. We'll have a main sectionfor stickies andgeneral discussion, a subsectionfor modifications/aftermarket upgrades, and a page fortech help. The section pages will be lengthened to 20-30 threads per page and the threads will be lengthened to15-20 posts per thread page. Ahhh growth!
I tried to alleviate some of the huge amount of stickies by moving them elsewhere and providing self-updating links to the pages is a single sticky, but that was shot down by a couple of well-worded posts by tahoe07 and engine2.

I have always thought that the first page needs more threads as well.I dont believe thenumber of stickies is the issue.

As for the combination of tahoe/suburban. I would like to see them both individually, or combined as one broken down into subsections such as Audio/Visual, Electrical, Lighting, Performance, Wheels, General. Something a little more defined and easier to navigate. I also think that providing a year range for new/different body styles under each vehicle model would be a big benefit as well.

We couldn't. That would be like makinga completely seperate forum inside the chevroletforum... Its still gonna be split three ways, themain sectionpage will be for general discussion, the first subsection will be tech, the other will be forModifications.
