Hi all,

Gm's website shows 2 20 inch wheels. A painted one for the LT and a polished one for the LTZ. My question is, are 1 or both of these clear coated? Any info would be great.

The polished is clear coated. You should treat it as if it were painted. Hand wash with soap for vehicle and wax periodically.

I'm sure the painted is probably a base/clear method but that I don't know for sure.

 

I have the painted version and they do have a clear coat on them.

 

I understand that the painted ones started out as polished but Red China failed to meet GM's specs so someonepaints them.
