Default RE: Stupid Question

I varied from 4hi to 4auto a lot over the last couple of days due the ever changing conditions. I am really impressed with the system. It worked flawlessly. 4auto is beautiful. It was nice to have that option. I agree, you can't tell when it steps in to help out.

Change to Auto or 2WD before you take off.

You shift from 4WD to 2WD in the garage/parking spotand it still stays in 4WD while you back out?

Yes, I am sure yours does too. I believe it must not switch over until a certain distance, like 200 feet or something. Doesnt everyone elses? All my 4x4s have done this.

You will need your wheel cranked hard to tell how long it takes. It should jump. I just want to know how far/long it takes for it to kick out/over to 2wd. Seems like a while!
