Suburban 2013 LTZ Electronic Suspension Control Module
Hi there, I have a 2013 Suburban LTZ with Air Suspension. I started getting the Service Suspension Message of death, that started shifting the transmission all over, throwing every Code in the book, etc. I spent some time troubleshooting, and eventually could not find any issues on the wheel sensors with ohm meter, etc. Caved and took to dealer. They traced it down to "Failed Electronic Suspension Control Module". Unfortunately, they also informed me Chevy / Delphi does not make this part anymore and they recommended auctioning the truck for parts... So I scoured the internet and assumed I could find an OEM from someones stock. Part Number: 25971217. No go. So next I turned to Ebay. Lots of "Aftermarket" from China, but hard to know if these are really compatible. Ordered a used one from Salvage Yard in Oregon. Said it was 25971217. When it arrived, it was not an exact match. The part I removed from the Suburban said it was 2597127 and had a S122739011B GMT900BS on it along with the 25971217 and Delphi. The one that arrived was slightly different. It said S122739011A, GMT900BS on it. The dealer does not want to try and reprogram this as they say it is not the exact same part. Does anyone have experience with these ESCM's and how interchangeable subtle differences in part numbers are? That A vs B model seems darn close, and it supposedly came off the same model year, model (LTZ) of Suburban. Or does anyone have any experience with the Chinese replicas on ebay working or not? I am quite surprised GM / Chevy stopped supporting a part after only 10 years that essentially renders their Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, into a Boat Anchor without it.
