Default Suburban lift gate issue.

Hi guys! A bit of a weird issue with my lift gate and this is the 2nd year it's happening. During summer when weather is hot, my lift gate would stop opening but at night when it cools down, it suddenly works again. I have made sure to test this theory over and over again and it has never fail. Only when it's hot outside that the lift gate won't open. Either the switch inside, on the lift gate or my remote, it just won't open and it just makes a clicking sound and my break light flashes. Tried checking and replacing the 15amp fuse, nothing. Removed the back panel and check all the wirings, nothing. Has anyone solved this problem or have had the same experience? Thanks for your input.

I suspect a lift support cartridge that's marginal, leak at a seal which could be affected by temperature.

These are typically replaced in spares, and I've purchased them online. Note that most models have a shorter pair for just the glass portion and a longer pair for the entire liftgate.
