Suburban radiator hose correct possition ?

Suburban radiator hose correct possition ?
Hi,
I changed the radiator hose on my 1993 chevy suburban (2500).
at the hose connection of the radiator hose there is a little protrusion (see picture). What I would like to know is if I need to get the hose over it and the clamp underneath it to it doesn't move up ? or is it correct the way it is on the picture ? Can it slip of ?
