2003 Chevrolet Suburban. I use it everyday for work.
Yesterday I was driving down the highway. And noticed the fans spanning loud. I checked my dash and saw the "TRANSMISSION HOT" message. I pulled over and decided to call a tow. Today I started it and drove it about 25MPH with no problems. Went under and found transmission fluid leaked through the vent hose that is located on top of transfer case.
Should I consider my transmission gone?
Any recommendations?

Welcome to the forum,
What were the driving conditions, was it hot out?were you towing? four wheeling? the leak from the vent tube could be because the trans got hot and that is how it was dealing with the condition.
Check the level and color, if you have not serviced the unit in a while it might be a good time, if its functioning normal then its probably fine.
