Default Sway bar support broke.

My 08 Suburban has a cracked front sway bar support. The bracket that is welded to the frame cracked off. Everyone i talked to says this should never have happened. Anyone see this before?
Any thoughts on a repair? I'm taking it to the dealer this week.

Check the posting Dec 1st, just 11 postings prior to this one. Seems to be happening to others as well.

Looks like from the picture that there is significant rust there. The best way tio repair is to clean it real good and weld in a new plate.

A mechanic had to grind off the old bracket and create a new bracket to weld to the frame. $320.00 total in parts and labor. He replaced both connectors left and right and the part that attaches to the A frame.
