Default Switch for backup camera?

I just picked up a 2010 LTZ I love the rearview camera option. What actually turns it on when you put it in reverse? I would like to wire a switch to leave it on while driving (easier and better than a rearview mirror) is this possible?

I don't know how it's linked to the reverse gear, but I would not recommend using it as a rear view mirror.

Full control of FACTORY or aftermarket rear view camera - turn on at any time, EVEN WHILE IN DRIVE

Defintely not worth the price, and any person older than 25 will need to take a class to hook it up.

What are you hooking up? Same thing on the site or the camera?

Default camera

the only real way to do what u want is the Gen 6 lockpick. for $250 it's a nice gizmo.

I love the under 8 mph front camera, but I don't want to spend $250 on one...

I need a new jet ski cover more than i need this thing.

the manual is on the web site of how to install it / video... everyone on here who has one seems to like it. I do not own one, but I wouldn't mind owning one.
