I am trying to make up my mind about if i should put 24's or 22's on my 07 tahoe. i heard some people say that if they put 24's the rub really bad is this true and should i just put 22's pr if i put 295 35 24 size of tires on 24's should it be fine?[/align]

 

I would go with the 22's (actually I did) if you're trying to keep the same ride feeling. 24's if it doesn't matter & you're going for looks but your ride will suffer. I can even feel a small difference with the 22's. Also once you lower it it will look good which ever you choose. 1 more thing, if you plan on towing anything that has a lil weight or carry a full load a lot you might want to go with the 22's. Hope this helps.

 

Stay away from the 24's. Where they may look good on your Hoe, the rub factor is there and so is the damage factor. You have less rubber between the rim and the road, so you ride will suffer. Hit a pothole and your wallet will suffer. I have 22's on my 07 and had them on my 2000 and they were/are doing just fine and I really don't feel any difference in the ride than when the factory 17's were on it.

Another thing, get some info on the best offset. Even though I love my rims they stick out just a lil too much so I have to go through puddles very slowly when turning to keep from slinging water down the side of the truck. I'll try & find out what the offset is on mine.

 

24's dont ride as bad as everybody says but a little more tread couldn't hurt

20/22/24 or 17" WHEELSfor that matter make no difference whether the tires is going to rub. It has to with the tires overall diameter and width.

Wheel offset will play a factor into this as well. But, like everyone has stated the more rubber, the better the ride. I have 24's and have not second guessed my decision......

 

i run 285/40/24 +30 and theres no rub. as far as the ride is concern, there is a difference from stock 17's but nothing major, just be careful on big pot holes. i work in philly and i'm used to it by now. good luck on whatever choice u make.
