Default Tahoe brake problems??

I have a 07 Tahoe I have an issue that I’m not sure if it’s the brake system or something else. When driving at normal speeds and you go to apply the brakes to stop like normal (not slamming or hard braking). As it starts to slow down it is fine but the closer it gets to stopping at the last second or two there is a grinding/scrubbing/vibration as it comes to a complete stop. I went ahead and replaced front/rear pads and had all 4 rotors turned. I greased up all necessary brake parts. I am still have the same issue when braking as doing a brake job was not the sole problem. Has anyone had this issue or know what could be causing this. I generally can fix most things on a car/truck I’m just not very good at diagnosing what the problem is.

Welcome to Chevy WG - do you have an idea where the noise/sensation is coming from - left/right/front/rear?

It appears to be coming from the front. Maybe from the driver side but not sure about that part.

Maybe a wheel bearing hub assembly going bad? Just changed the right one on our '20 Tahoe, it had a grinding/whining sound above 20mph (under 50k miles, sad)

I was wondering if it might be a wheel bearing or even a caliber going bad but I wasn’t sure or how to even check

My front hub assemblies went bad on my 2008 Suburban around 200,000 miles. They made a classic sound scratchy noise clearly coming from the front, increasing in frequency with vehicle speed and unilaterally on side vehicle leaned towards on sharp curves. My noise was not related to braking.

I realize no two experiences will ever be the same. I curiously await the outcome of your issue. Good luck! 👍

Probably a bad wheel sensor or hub going bad. You need a full system scan which also scan ABS system for codes. There are 4 codes families in GM vehicles, P, U, B and C.
P code readers will not read the other 3 code families.
Without a full system scan to check for codes it's all just a big guess.

What happens if you put it in neutral and slowly coast to a stop w/o brakes - still hear it?
