LEDs besides being brighter (engine2) are also much, much faster to illuminate, thereby giving you a fraction of a second more reaction time and distance to lay on the binders. 30 mph is 44 ft/sec. That's two car lengths. I can't remember the actual time differential but I think it was close to a full second. Easy to notice when you're behind a car that has LEDs in the CHMSL and incandescent in the brakes.

Definately a major plus where everyone seems to tailgate these days.
+2 I've been totally happy with my esky lights since the 1st day I installed them. They really look hot at night - IMHO they would look just as good on a light color as well as dark.... The only thing I would do differently if starting over would probably be to get the euro versions with the amber row of turn signal LEDs.

you can see the lower left portion of the tail has a red FOG light where there should be another reverse light. Too bad. They look great.
