I have a 2001 Tahoe 5.3 engine. It was riding with no problems, went into the store and came back out and it would not start. It would not turn over at all. All the lights, radio and heat was on. I though it may be a security issue because I had to keep pushing the fob when I got out to get it to work; however, the security message is not flashing. I end up draining the battery trying to get it started. I now have a new battery but car still will not start. I don't even hear the fuel pump whining--a new fuel pump was put in earlier this year. I also thought I could have a bad key. The problem is that I can't find my other set of keys to try and see if it would work.

Things I have done so far -- I checked all the fuses, swopped relays, tapped on the starter and new battery.

Help if you can.
