Default Test DL3

I recently picked up a used DL3 signal mirror. What is the best way to test the features ofmirror short of installing and taking to the dealer to program it? When something this new isbeing sold as used, you have to wonder if their is something wrong with it. I'd sure like to test it before I go through the trouble of installing it.
Thanks...

Can you remove the door panel and plug it into the harness or is the harness not there?

Default RE: Test DL3

I currently have DL8 mirrors so I would be doing a conversion. My understanding of the DL3 signal mirror is none of thefeatures work until the vehicle's computer orBCM is flashed. I was just curious if anyone with electrical experience could recommend how to go about testing the part, the type of tools that would be necessary, etc...
I've read in some of the threads of members testing tail lights and other parts. I understand that it may require some level of electrical knowledge and experience. I certainly would not want to damage the part... Thanks for the suggestion.
