Thumbs up thanks to all

I have been looking at other postings with people having no start issues. I followed some of the instructions, and used my on warped thinking and my 96 tahoe I just brought started up.The guy I got it from said it was seized.when I got it home I got it to turn over, but I had no sparkat the coil. I replaced the crank sensor still nothing, then the module and boom she started up. it does have A knock though so my next question is it possible to swap the parts from the Vortec 5.7 onto A early90's tbi 5.7? From what I am thinking my main delima is going to be the crank sensor. Any thoughts, heads up,issues bumps in the road anyone can think of would be welcome I have some back issues so any less work I have to do is good.I dont like taking those pills they give me I dont want to get stuck on them. Once again thanks for A great site I hope I can help someone out sometime.
