Yes, but typically the positive cable is done...
The vehicle may run slightly different after start up as some things are "relearned" if you can have the codes cleared with a code reader with clearing capabilities..

I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado with the ebony cloth interior. Does anyone know how to remove the lint from the seats? It's horrible!!

Welcome to the forum...
Lint roller? I thought the seat material was changed to address this issue as it was also seen on the 07 models...

Here is the TSB for the lint issue

check your VIN for eligilibity:

Subject Excessive Lint Accumulation on Cloth Seats (Replace Seat Covers) #07-08-50-018 - (08/28/2007)

Models: 2007-2008 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe

2007-2008 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali, Yukon Denali XL

with Cloth Seats (RPOs AE7, AZ3, A95)

Built Prior to August 1, 2007

Condition:
Some customers may comment on excessive lint accumulation on the cloth seat material. Darker colored seat fabric seems to show the condition more than lighter fabrics.

Cause:
The source of the lint accumulation is not the seat fabric material. The seat material, though, exhibits a tendency to accumulate and retain lint from sources that come into contact with the fabric.

Correction:
Replace the seat covers (back and cushion) with new covers that have been created with a revised fabric. Refer to SI for the appropriate seat back and cushion cover replacement procedures.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

Ain't that the truth... Toyota is recalling 7.4 MILLION vehicles for a power window issue that may cause fires...

Quick Reply: There is a TSB for that...
