I have an 04 suburban with the thrid row seat that comes out. My issue is that the seat only has 2 shoulder belts and one lap belt. The newer style, 07 and up have 3 shoulder belts. Does anyone know if the third row seats are inter changable?

 

I'm guessing they are not :-/

And, any adapters or attempts to fit one may make the situation less safe.

I think my Tahoe only has 2 seats in the 3rd row, but I took them out 5 years ago and haven't looked at them since.

 

I don't think they are. The 3rd row in our '05 was a single (heavy!) piece. The 3rd row in our '10 is 2 pieces, so obviously not the same part.
