Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Thoughts on 2007 Suburban?

Still searching for a used Suburban. Just not a lot out there to choose from. Hoping someone can help with the ones I've listed below. I guess I'm looking for the best value. Will primarily be a dog hauler and tow maybe 6 times a year, if that. Will drive it into the ground but also don't want to get stuck in a money pit, you know?

This one has a lot of miles on it but a pretty detailed CAR FAX. Dealer maintained, one owner: Cars for Sale: Used 2007 Chevrolet Suburban in 4WD, Grand Rapids MI: 49512 Details - Sport Utility - Autotrader

This one is nice but I can't find any info on tow package, etc.

The 07 6.0 LTZ with 155k is still available. Sent an inquiry about it...

Agree. Look for an '08 or '09.

Also, you might want to look at the 2500 trucks. They're much more rare, but, IMHO, are completely bulletproof. My '08 has 154,000 miles, and has been just about flawless. I've owned it for over three years and the only reason I take it to my mechanic is for routine maintenance and tires. I've spent $23 in repairs on it. And I tow a lot, drive it like I stole it, and beat the crap out of it. By the time my '01 had this much mileage, it had become quite a money pit.

And don't forget about the GMC Yukon XL. The front end has a different appearance, but it's identical to the Suburban. And the Yukon XL Denali is unique in that there is no equivalent Suburban trim level, plus you get the 6.2 motor. I think it's much nicer than the LTZ. The standard 5.3 motor scares me, with all of the AFM/lifter issues. If you're looking for a truck to "drive into the ground," unfortunately, I don't think the 5.3 is the engine I would choose. Notice neither of my trucks has the 5.3.
