Default A Tip For Brake Pad Replacement.

When I posted for the first time I asked about rusted brake lines.
https://chevroletforum.com/forum/tah...e-lines-85646/

Here is a follow up on another part of my repairs to my brakes. When I went to replace the brake pads I noticed that my pads were all binding. This was caused by a heavy accumulation of rust under the clips, on which the brake pads ride. This caused the pads to bind and not ride freely as they should. All of the videos that I watched never mentioned this as an issue. Before I replaced the pads I took the time to sand the brake caliper, under the clips, to remove the rust.Upon completion of the pad installation I found they rode more smoothly on the clips.

Anyway, I thought that I would pass on this information and hopefully save some other members from binding pads because of rust accumulating under these clips.
