Tired Vortec Engine. . .
So this is my first post on here! Was happy to find the forum and addicting to go through all the stuff on here 
Okay so I have a 1997 GMC Suburban K1500 with a engine that is needing replaced. I am looking for suggestions on a easy swap that will not require changing the computer and allow me to use my current parts (IE. Alternator, Water pump, Starter etc. . .)
I know I could just replace with stock which I know i can get brand new from Jegs for about $2k. I would like to have just a little more horse power though as I enjoy off roading and also looking to get a toy hauler to tow around in the near future. What can I throw in my truck that won't break my bank?
