Towing question - 2015 Suburban

Hello. New to the forum, but I have been using the search and read through a number of threads, but I have a slightly different question about towing.
I am thinking about upgrading to a slightly larger travel trailer. I've been towing a trailer with a dry weight of 4500#s and a hitch weight of 550#s. I estimate the actual loaded weight of the camper to be around 5500#s when towing (if the water tank is full).
I have a 2015 Suburban with the max trailering package. Online indicates it has a maximum towing ability of 8000#s. Of course, it never feels like the current travel trailer is hooked up - even in the mountains. The Suburban handles it with no problems.
I am looking at a travel trailer with a dry weight of 6400#s and a hitch weight of 700#s. If we assume a similar packed weight of 1000#s - bringing the camper weight to about 7500#s, will the Suburban still handle pulling this thing in the mountains? Obviously, it will be a bigger strain being 2000#s heavier than the current trailer, but is this too close to the maximum for the vehicle?

I am pretty sure all of the 2015 Suburbans have the EcoTec3 5.3L V-8 engine.
Transmission is the same across the model year as well - Hydra-Matic 6L80 6-speed.
This one has the 3.42 final drive ratio because of the max trailering package.
