Default Which Tranny '05 1500LS 2wd?

Hey all,

I've been hunting everywhere I can think of (even searched all the forums here). How do I find out which tranny my '05 1500LS 2wd Suburban has? I have the 5.3 flexfuel engine.

Thanks,
KS

check the glove compartment? There should be a list of all the regular production options (RPO) on the decal in there. You can find what they mean on the net or call the local dealer.

Thanks guys, I new I was overlooking something (like that big sticker underneath all the crap in the glovebox).

I found the code is M30 which confirms the 4L60E. Now is there an easy way to tell if it has the deep or the shallow pan? It came from the factory with the towing package if that makes a difference.
