Default Which transmission?

How do I determine which automatic transmission is in my 2003 Suburban 1500 four-wheel drive? (4L60-E/4L65-E or 4L80-E/4L85-E) Is it an RPO code listed in the glove-compartment?

Also, after just looking at the service manual, how do I determine which one of four rear axles I have? (8.6", 9.5", 10.5" or 9.75"?)

Thank you.

Thanks for the link; pretty cool to pull up all the RPO codes. Even better is all the parts information available on that web site. Will have to spend some time looking through all the information.

Here's the answer / information for my specific year and model:

4L60-E transmission / RPO code "M30"
8.625" rear axle
